Start with a handshake.
Not a contract.
We spend an afternoon learning how your business runs, and you keep the action plan whether or not you hire us. If we do work together, it's month to month after onboarding.
We've probably solved your problem before.
Over 20 years across practices, plants, firms, and fleets. We start by understanding the work these businesses do, and we know where technology can get in the way of it.
What we do differently
The Gawa team is based out of Rocky Mount, North Carolina. We deliver IT consulting, support and managed services to businesses across the region and beyond — practices, plants, firms and fleets, wherever their sites happen to be. Our goal is to understand how your business runs before we touch its technology, because a system that doesn’t fit how the work gets done is a system people route around.
That takes longer up front. It also means the recommendations hold up. Here are a few of the things that come out of working that way — all of them in writing.
Usually: what your IT company knows lives with them.
Your business documentation is yours.
Every person, system, dependency and process, documented as we go. It's what we build together, and it's yours from day one — no export requests, no handover meetings, no gaps.
Usually: it only comes up at renewal, or after an incident.
Your compliance obligations are ours too.
Cyber insurance renewals ask whether you have MFA, tested backups and endpoint monitoring — most businesses check the boxes and hope. We make sure it's true. And if you handle patient data, HIPAA makes us a business associate: we sign the agreement and work to that standard.
Usually: every problem has a solution they happen to sell.
Sometimes the answer isn't technology.
A process that only ever lived in someone's head. A step everyone assumed someone else was handling. A workaround that quietly became the process. We'll tell you when that's what you're actually looking at.
Usually: a three-year agreement before anyone touches anything.
You're never locked in.
There's a term while we bring you up to standard, because that takes real work. After that we'd rather earn the next month than hold you to a year. Longer terms are available if you want one — the exit stays the same either way.
